Juneteenth (june 19th) Heritage Festival celebrates the event of June 19th, 1865 when union soldiers entered Galveston, Texas and found people still being held as slaves even after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. Every year since then people came together to commemorate this day by sharing information to assist with heir new-found freedom and come together to fellowship and enjoy each others company. This day is a State holiday in over 40 States. On June 17th we are hosting this Festival which is free to the public by having speakers, entertainment as well as food, sports, music games and all sorts of interesting things as well as a health/legal fair vendors are welcomed
